In a recent report by Rolling stone, a number of OnlyFans users claim that their TikTok accounts were recently deactivated because they allegedly violated the platform policies on sex and nudity. Most of these creators said they made sure to keep their TikTok content rated PG, although their bio includes links to their OnlyFans.
“I wouldn’t even type the word ‘sugar daddy’, I would type ‘sugar daddy’ and stuff like that lol. And I never used the word OnlyFans on my page,” said Lydia Love, who was reportedly started from TikTok a month ago. “TONS of girls I know got deleted. It was like a huge sweep with no explanation.”
Love, who had amassed up to 100,000 TikTok subscribers before his suspension, said Rolling stone her TikTok bio included a link to her Linktree landing page, which included a link to her Only fans page. A representative for TikTok told the magazine that in addition to banning “content that commits, promotes or glorifies sexual solicitation,” it also bans any account from trying to “redirect traffic.” Rolling stone points out, however, that many accounts were not suspended despite the inclusion of links to their Twitter or YouTube pages. TikTok did not provide an explanation for the discrepancy, nor did it say why some important users, such as Bella thorne, remained on the platform despite a link to OnlyFans in their TikTok bios.
Rebekka Blue says she too has been kicked from TikTok in recent months due to her OnlyFans presence. She said Rolling stone her TikTok followers were so large that the platform saw her as an official creator, meaning she could monetize her videos. For this reason, Blue has been careful not to violate any policies and risk loss of income.
“I am posting without makeup and loose clothing,” she said. “I’m not showing the skin because I don’t want to risk my account being deleted.”
After his TikTok account was deleted, Blue contacted a lawyer and successfully appealed the suspension. But she says she’s still bothered by TikTok’s clear double standard when it comes to risky content.
“Even if you don’t directly promote yourself, if people see you on TikTok and see oh she’s cute, she has a great body, or even just for your personality or whatever, naturally they could go to your Instagram and feed. time – multiple levels of exposure … “she said. “The problem is, on TikTok, you see so many girls under 18 with little to no clothes on, but because they’re not making money on their OnlyFans links, their content stays put. “
