Fan confidence in Bears franchise rises after house cleanup

Fan confidence in the Chicago Bears franchise had been slowly rising over the final weeks of the 2021 season, and I guess why was the anticipation for Black Monday and the hope that comes with a whole new regimen. The latest results from SB Nation Reacts reflect that big boost in confidence we had after the Bears fired general manager Ryan Pace and head coach Matt Nagy, but I wonder if he would have gone even higher. than 43% if clumsy President George McCaskey would never have spoken a week ago.

The polls were released on Tuesday last week, giving plenty of fans time to tune in, or at least hear/read about this awful presser. McCaskey and team president Ted Phillips did everything they could to kill the buzz our fanbase had after Pace and Nagy were let go.

I’ll give credit to McCaskey and his research team though, the names they’ve been linked to and/or interviewed before have been impressive. Maybe this is the year the Bears are lucky enough to have the right GM/HC combo to make this team a permanent playoff contender again.

Here’s how our Reacts results have been going throughout the season.
