The new version of Middle-earth continues to unveil some details. Amazon Studios announced that the Franco-Swedish director Charlote Brändström He’s already on the creative team for The Lord of the Rings series, which premieres on Amazon Prime Video at a date yet to be determined.
The series will feature filmmakers such as JA Bayona, who directed the first episodes. Recently, it was announced that Anglo-Chinese director Wayne Che Yip will also be going backstage. The entire international distribution is currently filming in New Zealand, the same country where the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogy were filmed.
An experienced director
Brändström, meanwhile, was nominated for an Emmy Award for Julie, the King’s Sword. He has also achieved more than 30 feature films and mini-series, including episodes of The Man in the High Castle, Outlander, The Witcher, and Jupiter’s Legacy.

Amazon’s Lord of the Rings takes place thousands of years before the events recounted in the original work.
